There are various health organisations. An organisation means association of various persons who join together for some common cause. The main motive of making an association is to take some common action. The purpose of making organisations is different for different persons. The organisations may be formed for a purpose of promoting an art or culture or it may be related to some common cause like provide assistance or relief to people who are in distress or the motive may be to provide solutions to various problems.Whatever is the purpose of an organisation, the basic thing is to provide remedy.An association may be voluntary non profit organisation. “WHO” which is world health organisation is very popular.
It is concerned with various issues related to health. World health organisation is concerned with the overall health issues of masses of various countries. The WHO is concerned with the overall well being of general people. When there is any natural calamity, the initiative will provide an opportunity for everyone, including the general public, to contribute to developing a solution to a major public health challenge — how to enhance innovation, research and development to address diseases predominantly affecting poor populations.There are various issues related to Pharmaceutical products, blindness, blood safety, blood transfusion, breast feeding, brucellosis, cancer, skin diseases, cardio vascular diseases, chickenpox and cataract. It also takes care of measures related to vaccines for diseases. When there is outbreak of an epidemic like plague or cholera or bird flu in any country, it helps in relief work. The relief and contributions provided by WHO include facilities like free ration or eatables, funds for rehabilitation of people who have become victim of the calamity.
WHO is also responsible for publishing various journals which offer free guidance to the travelers on the various risks and health problems which they are prone to be exposed during travel to a particular destination.Guidance is related to help them to be fully aware of potential risks they are going to face and recommended vaccinations, protection against insects and other disease vectors or safety in different environmental surroundings.Then there are other organisations like CRY (which is called child relief and you). It is concerned with the issues related to the children. It provides information on the status of children in India and it is concerned with providing them with proper clothing, shelter and food. It is dedicated to caring for underprivileged, destitute and suffering children, people and their families. CRY aims to rescue and restore young lives broken by poverty, oppression, exclusion and abuse and to provide appropriate opportunities for a better future.
There are various activities which are undertaken by CRY like selling postage stamps, stamp collections and other collectable items and they are sold to raise funds for the needy people.UNO (United Nations organisation) is another organisation which is involved with the various causes like economic, social uplift of people of the world and issues like poverty, education, development and health. The various programs are launched to improve the general well being of the masses.
